Brrrr - it is horrible weather for taking photos outside!
I have finally finished the bear I've been working on. This was the one I was thinking of making for my two tiny nieces - although I'm not really sure anymore. He is quite brick-like - very square and solid - perhaps not the thing for a baby?
Ah well, I will try Ned at the Art & Craft Centre, and see if anyone likes him.
He has been a pain in the neck to make - mostly because of his flippy feet - but, as you can probably see from the picture below, I played about with the proportions quite a lot too...
Five practice bears! No matter how many times I read about other people's working methods, and how they make repeated versions of something before getting it right, it always bugs me that I can't get it right second time around (everyone's allowed one mistake). Note the middle bear in the picture above (with the ginormous red feet), where I thought, 'Aha! This design works! I will break out the expensive cotton fabric!' Naturally it turned out to be the most ridiculous-looking of all my attempts. If you're going to be ridiculous though, why not do it in gingham trousers with strawberries printed all over them?
Anyway, I just wanted to add one more cute cat picture. My last two photos of Rory have featured him looking really peeved, and I just wanted to correct the impression...

I've heard of Dogfish and Catfish. Is there any such thing as a Bearfish? If there is I think this is what it looks like? I've not seen a bear anything like that one before. I hope he proves popular.
Really? I thought he was quite traditional - apart from the trousers and the marigolds of course!
