The walls are going up! At the time of this picture - taken during the builder's lunchbreak - he was in the process of laying the grey blocks at the back - against the wall of our neighbour's extension. I believe he still has to do the inner layer of bricks of the pillar at the front. However, a man came round to have a look this morning, and he had 'roofer' written all over him, so I'm hoping something cataclysmic is about to happen with the roof.
Depending on where they fix up our oven, whilst the work is being done, we may effectively be cooking outside whilst the roof is off. Right now, what with the lovely warm weather, an outdoor kitchen is a really appealing prospect! I'll bet the moment the roof is down though, black clouds will start to gather.
Anyway! Just thought I'd share.
