The kitchen part of the new floor was put in today. It is a posh real wood floor, and rather darker than we would usually go for. With such a high ceiling though, it looks really, really lovely.

Dark Wood Floor really give a stunning and bold look to the over all appearance of your house.
Thank you - I think so too. Actually, looking at the pictures now, they make the room look darker than it actually is. We were quite surprised how light it looked - even with the dark floor. It's those skylights that do the trick, I think.
